Summer Fiction Intensive

This three-week workshop is designed for those who really want to focus in on their writing during the summer. Jump-start a project, or make that great leap forward on a work in progress. The class is a seminar-style workshop, and we'll be reading some outside material, as well as one another's work. The atmosphere is close, collegial, and supportive. Taught by Liz Mechem Carroll, local author and writing instructor at the New School.

Adult Photo Class

Why should the kids have all the fun? This short course taught by Chris Carroll covers the basics of digital photography. Learn how to make your camera work for you, in order to realize your artistic vision. We'll work with the best camera, which happens to be the very one you have already, from SLR to point-and-shoot to iPhone.

Digital Photography for Teens

Photo camp is comprised of three one-week sessions, taught by Chris Carroll. We will shoot lots of pictures, both at in the studio and out, and then we’ll learn to edit them and do basic post-production work. Composition, lighting, and style are all discussed. Campers leave with two matted 8x10 prints of their work, and a library of fabulous images.

Session 2: (Photo Camp grades 7-12) July 6-9, Tues-Fri  (4 days)     Cost: $375.

Session 3: (Photo Camp grades 7-12) July 12–16  Mon-Fri (5 days)   Cost: $450.

New this year: Fashion Camp!

What happens when a group of teen fashionistas are let loose in a photo studio crammed with racks of hip, fun clothes? When they have lights and camera at their disposal? It’s a photo shoot, a styling session, and a place where trends are born. We will have visiting designers, trend-watchers, and hipsters talk about style and how to make it yours.

Session 4: (Fashion Camp) July 19-22 Monday-Thurs. (4 days)          Cost: $375.

10% discount applies to two or more campers in the same family, and a 10% discount will be given to campers who attend more than one session.

Camp runs from 10:00 am-3:00 pm.

Campers bring their own bag lunch, except for the last day of session, when we have a pizza party.

Wednesday afternoons are Sundaes. We will provide all the fixings for ice cream sundaes to celebrate making it half way through your week.
